A large number of working Brits do not get paid for the significant amount of overtime they put in, a survey from Clerical Medical has revealed.
We put in an average of 3.5 years of overtime over our working lives – men clocking up 4.2 years and women 2.6 years – which amounts to £80,000 each in wages, but unfortunately it's not quite that simple.
This is because two thirds of women and around half of men do not find that they're paid for the extra hours they work – thus ensuring that they're potentially missing out on a highly useful sum of cash. more
